Sandra Shevey is a writer, interviewer, and author perhaps best known for her Marilyn Monroe biography. She is listed in the British Film Institute's online researcher's guide as a specialist regarding women in film, Alfred Hitchcock film locations, ethnic suppression during the Golden Age of Hollywood, antisemitism, and the Holocaust. She is the CEO of two guided tour companies, The Alfred Hitchcock Walk and The London Street Markets Walk. Shevey interviewed Alfred Hitchcock in 1972, although the interview was never published. Sandra Shevey produced a DVD related to one of her tours, London's Ancient Markets: Their Fight for Survival, which profiles four ancient London markets under threat: Smithfield, Spitalfield, Borough, and Covent Garden.<ref name="Academia"/> Shevey also lectures at the Barbican Cinema, the St. Martin's reference library, and the National Portrait Gallery. Her exhibition `Outing Hollywood` (about Hollywood and identity) ran in July 2009 at the St. Martin's reference library.
