Sandford Springs is a hotel & golf club in Kingsclere, Hampshire in England. It is owned by Leaderboard Golf along with 4 other golfing venues in the South East including The Oxfordshire Golf Club near Oxford, Dale Hill Hotel and Golf Club in Wadhurst, East Sussex, Chart Hills Golf Club near Ashford in Kent and The Leaderboard Golf Centre in Reading. History After Paul Gibbons sold his shares in Hurst Publishing and Auto Trader, he created the Leaderboard brand and negotiated the purchase of Sandford Springs Golf Club. Sandford Springs is home to three different 9-hole courses, known as ‘The Park’ ‘The Lakes’ and ‘The Wood’ which were designed by Hawtree and Son, founding members of the British Institute of Golf Course Architects. As with the other Leaderboard courses, Sandford Springs is part of ‘Premier Golf Alliance’ in allegiance with high-profile golfing venues like Gleneagles in Scotland. Each of the Leaderboard courses have celebrities as the club presidents. Dickie Davies - formerly of World of Sport - is the president of Sandford Springs. Leaderboard are known for supporting charitable causes and Sandford Springs in particular is considered to be a hub of their charitable activities.
