Sanathdeva Murutenge

The internationally known Philosopher, Theoretical High-Energy Astrophysicist, Cosmologist, Cognitive Scientist and System Theorist of Sri Lanka. His website addresses the two fundamental philosophical questions underlying modern physics, the study of matter and energy and how they interact.
Dr. Sanathdeva Murutenge hails from a hamlet called Ihala Murutenge in Kurunegala district of Sri Lanka and had his primary and secondary education at Royal College, Colombo. Later he entered the University of Colombo and earned a degree in medical sciences. He is the first cognitive scientist in the world to formulate a theory with Metaphysics and Theoretical Physics combined to describe the psycho-physical mechanism involved in the cognitive mechanism of human consciousness. He is of the opinion that the study of silent nature of the universe in philosophical context is metaphysics and in the context of modern science it is theoretical astrophysics.
According to him, Buddhism is neither religion nor philosophy. He says that it is the scientific study of the dualism of mind and body. Dr. Murutenge is the first theorist in the world to formulate a scientific theory with a hypothesis of quantum consciousness that suggest the quantum mechanical phenomena such as Quantum Entanglement and Quantum Superposition to describe human consciousness. He is also considered to be the pioneer worker in theorizing a mind atom with a genetic component that he published in his thesis Scientific Basis of the Systematic Philosophy of Buddhism in the year 2006. In 2008, he made a breakthrough in the field of theoretical physics by formulating a logical link between quantitative theories and qualitative arrow of time by publishing his unified field theory in a monograph Quantum Dynamical Evolution Theory of Sanathdeva Murutenge: A Paradigm Shift to Theories of Modern Physics, the theory of everything.
Apart from his professional work as a medical doctor in the state sector he divides his spare time on meditation and consciousness research. He also has many writings on Parapsychology, Buddhist Philosophy and Archaeology to his credit. His scholarly description on the monolithic monument of Anuradhapura period based on Buddhist karmic theory has not been disputed so far to date. He is supposed to be the only natural scientist in the world with an interdisciplinary deliverance, has unfolded many unsolved scientific problems in neuroscience, philosophy, and physics. He leads a quiet life with his wife and son in Dehiwala, Sri Lanka.
