Samarpan meditation is a simple way of meditation taught by Sadguru Shri Shivkrupanand Swami. Presently this method is practised by about 15,00,000 followers around the world. There is no religion involved in this and has followers from many different faiths. The best part of this meditation is that its completely Free of charge as Guruji believes that this is eternal energy and it can not be purchased or sold. The Guru, Shri Shivkrupanand Swamiji came down from the Himalayas with the sole purpose of teaching the simple mode of meditation. He first came to the foothills of North East India, and from there he was called by a traveller to Mumbai, where he formed a Trust in the year 2000. However Swamiji's Gurus had predicted, his work area will be in the Indian state of Gujrat. An ashram was built in the shores of the Arabin sea in "Dandi" village near Navsari town in Southern part of the Indian state Gujrat in the year 2003. To teach samarpan meditation Swamiji has conducted several "Shibir's" or training seminars. The shibirs are normally of 8 days and were initially held in small groups. Within the span of 10 years it grew so much that the last shibir held in Pushkar, Rajasthan was held in a football stadium and was attended by approximately 10,000,000 persons (peak). During this shibir the sadhaks (the practitioners) learn introduction to meditation on day 1 and the next 7 days are dedicated to the 7 chakras in our body, 1 day each chakra. The seven chakras are - Muladhaar chakra, swadhisthan chakra, nabhi chakra, hriday chakra, vishuddhi chakra, agya chakra and sahastraar chakra. Swamiji preached that you should thoroughly know what you are doing before you start meditation. On the day 4 - Muladhaar chakra day, Sadhak is initiated with a simple mantra, and you are made to practice meditation in presence of the Guru for the remaining days, slowly increasing the time form 2 minutes to 10 minutes. After this you are advised to practice for 30 minutes each day for minimum of 45 days. Nowadays the shibirs (courses) are being conducted by recorded Videos and have benefited millions of sadhaks. Basic meditation method: Light a candle or diya (fire), if possible sit on the floor, if not a chair can be used. Chant the mantra 9 times as advised, concentrate on the sahastraar chakra (top of head) and meditate for approximately 30 minutes. In this method there is no basic posture, no complicated mantras to pronounce. The mantra is a simple 7 words - each word meant for clearing each chakra and asking for knowledge from the Past, future and Present Guru's. The method of this meditation has the sole purpose to join oneself with universal consciousness and experience the awakening of the Kundalini Energy.
