Samantha Jennings

Second Sight Productions is the company of independent producer and established developer Samantha Jennings. Sam produced acclaimed short Deluge (which won the Special Jury Prize Clermont- Ferrand among various awards and sold to Arte, ABC and Spanish TV) and other awarded films including short feature So Close To Home, directed by Jessica Hobbs (Dendy Award, the Golden Gate Award, distributed by BFI). She produced one hour documentary Big All At Once and short animation Father and more recently wrote and EP’d Screen Australia short film Into My Arms.
Sam is also highly regarded for her work in development. She is a regular script advisor for Screen Australia in both Development and Finance, part time Development Executive at Screen NSW and a freelance consultant for private production companies and significant filmmakers across Australia. She has been a selected participant in the Script Factory, Stephen Cleary one-on-one sessions, 37th South and the prestigious Aurora Intensive Workshop. She has also lectured in Producing, been Supervising Producer on Metro’s Raw Nerve initiative and mentored many emerging filmmakers including internationally acclaimed and Oscar shortlisted The Ground Beneath.
Sam has a slate of projects in advanced development, including Film Vic and Screen Australia supported The Winter Child, which she has developed with exciting new talents screenwriter Giula Sandler and director Justin Kurzel.
