Sam Burfoot

Sam Burfoot (born 10 April 1994. Bromley, Kent, England) moved to Auckland, New Zealand, with his family in 2003 (aged 8) graduating from Westlake Boys High School in 2011. Since then he has been pursuing a football career in New Zealand.
Football career
In 2013, Burfoot joined Western Springs AFC in the NRFL division 2. Burfoot helped the club gain back to back promotions which has progressed the club to the top division in Auckland. From his time at Western Springs AFC Burfoot managed to sign with Pacific giants Auckland City FC where he spent the last three seasons with the club. In his time with Auckland he has won the O-League, ASB Premiership minor and major finals twice, the ASB Community Shield once and in his first season with the club he was awarded "Young Player of the Year". Burfoot was also part of the third place finishing side at the 2014 FIFA Club World Cup held in Morocco.
International career
Burfoot was first selected for the New Zealand national football team in March 2015 where he travelled with the team to South Korea (1-0 loss). He was also selected for the Under-23 national team competing in the 2015 Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.
