Saigontourist () is a state-owned enterprise headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It owns and manages hotels, restaurants and runs guided tours in southern Vietnam as well as throughout central Vietnam. Saigontourist owns a large number of hotels in Ho Chi Minh City, including the Caravelle Hotel, Rex Hotel, Hotel Continental, Saigon, Hotel Majestic. It also owns two hotels in the north (Hanoi and Hạ Long City) as well as several hotels in cities throughout central Vietnam, including Vinh, , Huế, Da Nang, Quy NhÆ¡n, Nha Trang, Phan Rang, MÅ©i Né, and Da Lat. History Saigontourist was set up just after the end of the Vietnam War to take charge of many of Saigon's hotels and restaurants. It diversified somewhat in the 1990s, but mainly remained focused on its core businesses in the hotel, tourism, and entertainment sectors, which were growing rapidly. In 1995, Saigontourist was the seventeenth largest company by turnover in Ho Chi Minh City. to promote the most significant Vietnamese cuisine (Bánh tét) in annual Lunar New Year to the world.
