Ryk Erik Spoor (July 21, 1962 in Omaha, Nebraska) is an American technical writer, and author of science fiction and fantasy novels. His first novel, Digital Knight, was published by Baen Books in 2003, with a second short novel Diamonds Are Forever (with Eric Flint) published in 2004 as part of the collection Mountain Magic. His third novel, Boundary, a collaboration with Eric Flint, was published by Baen Books in 2006. The sequel to Boundary, Threshold, was published in June 2010. The third book, Portal, is due in May 2013. Ryk and Eric have contracted with Baen to produce two more books set later in the Boundaryverse. In May 2010, Baen published a new novel: Grand Central Arena (ISBN 1439133557), a science-fiction adventure set in 2375. A Japanese translation was licensed by Hayakawa, and was released in two parts in July 2011. A sequel, Spheres of Influence has been submitted, and is awaiting announcement of publication date by Baen Books. Another novel, Phoenix Rising</ref> was published in November of 2012.
