Russel Earl Winstead

Russell Earl Winstead (born February 1965) is a former resident of Madisonville, Kentucky, and is known for violently killing his 85-year-old aunt in 2003 in Madisonville, Kentucky - stabbing her over 80 times in her basement. He appeared on many episodes of America's Most Wanted. In 2005 he was captured in Costa Rica, extradited to the United States, and charged with murder and armed robbery. He was convicted on both counts and is currently serving a life sentence at the Kentucky State Reformatory.
He has three children.
Russel was the beloved son of the late Sue Rich Winstead. Her origins come not only from the Rich Family but from the Forbes as well. Jeanette Rich was the beloved late sister of Sue and his Aunt as well. Jeanette had five sons and they are Russels first cousins. Jeanttes children are: Thomas Land Brantley III of New Mexico, Joeseph Christopher Brantley of Wyoming, Samuel Todd Brantley of North Carolina, Jason Bradford Brantley of Washington State and Michael Eric Cook of Texas respectively. Russel's father is still living as well. Russel's Aunt Nell Smith and his Uncle Gerald Rich still live in Madisonville, Kentucky.
