Rulers of the Planet

Rulers of the Planet were an Irish punk-rock band based in Cork circa 2005-2007. They were signed to Sofa Records (Ireland), and to German label ZYX.
Their debut album "In 30 Minutes We Destroy the Earth" was received positively by critics (‘Album of the Week’ - Irish Independent, 9/10 - Hot Press). It led to a publishing deal with Jewel DC, a publishing company owned by Berlin-based Irish singer-songwriter, Rea Garvey. A second album, "Disco Boogie for Death Rockers," was released in 2007.
Two founder members of the group, Mick Hayes and Niall Lynch, were previously part of 1990s punk-rock band The Shanks (alongside Eoin "Stan" O'Sullivan, who later formed Stanley Super 800).
