Rosemary Chizurum Ajuka

Rosemary Chizurum Ajuka (a.k.a Chilli Peppers) (born March 8, 1990) is a Nigerian Radio Personality and Media Entrepreneur. She hosts Sunday Chill Out Zone With Chilli as well as Good Morning Nigeria Show both on Cool Fm 96.9 Lagos Nigeria.
She is known for her eclectic personality, her vivacity, intellect, wits and her unforgettable signature laughter. She won the 2015 Tush Awards, On Air Personality of the Year.
Rosemary is the CEO of Trixern Media and apart from being an Entrepreneur, she is also a an advocate for literacy and issues concerning Women and Girls, She is a Freelance Editor, Content Developer, Public Speaker, she is also an Events Compere/Planner. She was the brain behind the ‘SINGLES ONLY’, a Games/Networking event held in Abuja and she has anchored several high profile events, both formal and informal across the country.

Early life and education
Ajuka was born and raised in Lagos Nigeria. She was born on March 8, 1990, to the Ajuka family of Afikpo-North, a city in Ebonyi State, southeastern Nigeria.
Professional background
Radio hosting
Ajuka’s broadcasting adventure began while still a student at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka where she had a brief stint as a co-host of the ‘Afternoon drive’ and ‘Ladies Night Out’, on Silverbird’s Rhythm fm, Awka.
During a holiday visit to Germany, she decided to train as a Music Mixologist with an on-line radio station called Party934 based in New York. She also anchored a show there called ‘Chilli’s Flip Side’, a show that focused on promoting African music, culture, news and ideals to the world.
Arriving back to Nigeria, she had a brief stint at Radio Port Harcourt (now Wave FM) in PortHarcourt, Rivers State where she was a co-host on ‘Daybreak Port-Harcourt’, ‘MTN House Party’ and also hosted her own show called ‘Sister City’, which focused on empowering and celebrating women involved in community development.
During her National Youth Service, Rosemary functioned as the President of the Orientation Broadcasting Service after which she went on to become a Newscaster/ Presenter on 95.1 Nigeria Info FM Abuja.
As Nigeria heralded a new democratic dispensation in May 2015, Rosemary Ajuka returned to her city of birth Lagos State and is currently on Cool FM as a host on Sunday Chill Out Zone With Chilli as well as a cohost Good Morning Nigeria Show.
Advocacy
Rosemary is a literacy advocate and is currently a literacy ambassador for AYECI Nigeria. She is also an avid advocate for issues concerning women and girls. In December 2015, she was a special guest and speaker at the Global action week to mark 600 days of the abduction of the beloved Chibok girls put together by Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) Lagos Group.
International Recognition
In Oct 2015, Rosemary Ajuka was part of a Nigerian delegation selected by the Swedish Institute and Swedish Embassy to visit Sweden in order to promote future collaborations between Sweden and Nigeria.
