Ron e Polo

Ronald Lee Shelton III (born February 23, 1989), known professionally as Ron e Polo, is an American born hip-hop recording artist, songwriter, video editor from Columbus, Ohio. Polo took off on the music scene during his final year of college at BGSU with his Debut mixtape Critic Talk. After numerous mixtapes between 2012-2014, Polo released his first iTunes album WinterPolos Independently through REP Enterprises.
Early life
Ronald Lee Shelton III was born on February 23, 1989 in Union, New Jersey to Ron Shelton II and Stephanie Bradley. Polo's father was from the southeast side of Washington, DC and played professional football in Frankfurt, Germany before becoming a hotel GM. His mom was a model/accountant from East Orange, New Jersey. Polo was a military brat growing up so was on the move a lot at a young age. His fathers side of the family are all part of a gospel band called the "Gospel Reflections" who played a major influence on his music and entertainment career growing up. Polo went to 7 different schools before middle school. From New Jersey to Pittsburgh, Ron e finally found a place to call home when he moved to Columbus, Ohio in 6th grade. Living on the east side of Columbus, Polo was forced to grow up fast dealing with the street life reality in Columbus public schools. At 13 Ron e moved to Naperville, IL where he linked up with Larry "Bravo" Scullark, who he recorded his first professional record with.
Polo moved back to Columbus, OH, and attended Hamilton Township High School. While at Hamilton, Ron e connected with the top artist in the school Deandre "Keys N Dope" Robinson and Mark "Profit" Barnett (Which also lived in his neighborhood) and created The Height Boys. After graduating from Hamilton, Polo spent his first year of college playing basketball at South Carolina Salkehatchie before transferring the next year to walk on at Bowling Green State University. While on the Bowling Green practice team, Ron e was offered a manager spot for the year because of the Title 9 act. He declined and decided to pursue his music career professionally during his final year of school.
Career
While in his final year of college, Ron e Polo dropped his first mixtape Critic Talk. With his first single off the mixtape Bandwagon going viral on YouTube, Polo began to catch a buzz throughout campus. Backed by his team 1013/OsOs Ron e began to push critic talk throughout the state by doing as many shows as possible through the college circuit. Linking up with Freddie Simmons in the summer of 12' , Ron e began to lock in mini local tours with Machine Gun Kelly and Chevy Woods of Taylor Gang. After school, Ron e moved back to Columbus, Ohio to start making music with his home base OsOs. After numerous mixtapes including the stand out Dreamkiller, Polo was gaining a global buzz. From having an interview on the Westside Radio show in London, England to Performing at NXNE in Toronto, Canada , Ron e's wave was picking up. (Ron e Polo's Lantern Article)
Ron e Polo released his first iTunes album WinterPolos April 7, 2015. The second single off of the Album "Live Like A Rockstar, Die Like A Rockstar" was picked up by an Atlanta Radio station called 2hotradio.com and presented Polo with a chance to perform in Atlanta during the BET Awards weekend.

Ron e Polo grew up in a family of Entertainers. His grandpa, Aunt, Uncle and Father all played in the same gospel band while he was young. Polo also list Jay Z, Kanye West, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Dipset, Spike Lee, Dru Hill, Nelly, Lupe Fiasco, R Kelly as his influences.
