Ron Demers (pronounced ) is the chief meteorologist at KTIV in Sioux City, Iowa.
Demers grew up in Storm Lake, Iowa and graduated from Briar Cliff College in 1992 with a major in mass communications and a minor in music.<ref name"Ron Demers of KTIV at Albert City Public Library" /><ref name"Four fun facts about Ron Demers" /> Ron learned meteorology at the Mississippi State University<ref name="KTIV" /> and was awarded the Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society in 1998.<ref name"AMS" /> He started his work at KTIV while he was in college as an intern.
