Robyn Gibbes

Robyn Gibbes (born 2 January 1957 in Goroka, Papua New Guinea) is an Australian actress and casting director , probably best known for her roles in Prisoner (as Samantha "Sam" Greenway) and Round the Twist (as the original Fay James). Having helped establish & run the first casting consultancy ‘Prototype Casting’ at Fox Studios, along with her husband Casting Director Greg Apps, she changed direction by establishing her own homewares label ‘Cascada Eco Textiles’ designing from Bolivia. Since 2015 she and her husband combined forces by establishing The Audition Technique, an online portal teaching actors about the audition process and the various techniques needed to be successful in the audition room.

She has also appeared in Matlock Police, The Restless Years, ', The Young Doctors, Blue Heelers, The Flying Doctors, Prisoner, Great Bookie Robbery, Whose Baby?, All Saints, Water Rats, Home and Away and Something in the Air amongst many others
Personal life
Her father was the Second World War Royal Australian Airforce fighter pilot and air ace, Wing-Commander Bobby Gibbes, DSO and DFC and Bar. After the war, Gibbes started and operated the first air line and grew plantation tea & coffee in PNG where Robyn was born, prior to returning to Sydney, Australia, to live.
