Robert Schonberger

Robert Schonberger (born May 14, 1980 in Satu Mare, Romania), is an Australian programmer. He is best known as one of the initial creators of Google Correlate and the first Google Sydney hire to work on Google Wave with Lars Rasmussen.
Schonberger spent his early years in Romania, before his parents, Susan, a cellist, and Andrew, an engineer for Intel, moved the family to Israel. Due to the rising violence during his early school years, Robert's family immigrated to Sydney, Australia when he was eight. He spent his remaining childhood years there, attending Sydney Boys High School before double majoring in Software Engineering and Mathematics at the University of New South Wales. He currently works in New York Office in Chelsea. Due to his global upbringing, he is fluent in Hungarian, Hebrew, and English.
