Robert Bodrog

Robert Bodrog is a Canadian photographer, known primarily for his celebrity portrait work.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, August 20, 1966, Bodrog studied philosophy and political science at the University of Prince Edward Island and did graduate work at Harvard University, where he received a master’s degree, before studying theatre and photography at York University in Toronto.
After completing his M.F.A. degree at York, Bodrog spent two years in Japan as a photography instructor and doing freelance assignments. He also worked on Japanese director Amon Miyamoto’s critically acclaimed 1998 film “Beat”.
After returning to Canada, Bodrog did work for a variety of clients, including the Toronto International Film Festival, where he photographed numerous celebrities, including Sofia Coppola, David Lynch, David Mamet, Norman Jewison and Tori Amos, among others. Outside of Canada, his work has been published in Playbill, the French magazine PHOTO, the Japanese magazines Replique and Ticket, and has been featured on the Yamaha corporation’s website.
He is also the co-writer, with Kurt Spenrath, of the screen adaptation of Spenrath's play "The Trillionaires", whose plot was inspired by the story of Long Term Capital Management. The film is currently in development.
