Rob Roy Pipe Band and Highland Dancers

The Rob Roy Pipe Band and Highland Dancers are a competitive pipe band accompanied by highland dancers from Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The band currently competes in grades 3 and 5 pipe band competitions across Ontario, with various members of the organization competing in solo piping, drumming, and dancing competitions at various levels. The organization also actively engages in promoting Scottish performing arts in the local community by teaching piping, drumming, and highland dancing lessons starting at the beginner level and performing at community events such as concerts and parades. The band also competes occasionally at the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, and throughout their travels in Scotland the band and dancers have performed at venues such as Palace of Holyroodhouse, Blair Atholl Castle, Prince’s Street Gardens in Edinburgh, the Rob Roy Visitor Centre in Callander, and Stirling Castle. The pipe band was founded in 1953 and the dancers joined the organization in 1962.
