RISC Takers FC

R.I.S.C. Takers Football Club is an association football club on the Dutch side of Saint Martin. The youth teams compete in the Saint-Martin Championships on the French side and the senior and veteran teams play in the Futsal competitions organized by the Sint Maarten Futsal Association(SMFA) on the Dutch side.
History
RISC Takers was unofficially founded in 2007 when a group of indoor soccer players decided to participate in the futsal competition organized by the SMFA. In 2012 a few members of RISC Takers have started training sessions in the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex stadium for children from 5 through 13 years old. It appeared that the interest in soccer amongst children is immensely resulting in 10 enthusiastic trainers and approximately 60 youth member in only 3 months.
The members of RISC Takers were of the opinion that the formalization of an association was necessary for the development of its youth program and as a result of that RISC Takers was established through a notarial instrument as “R.I.S.C. Takers Football Club” on September 14, 2012.
As of May 20, 2013 R.I.S.C. Takers FC is member of the Sint Maarten Soccer Association.
