Rikki Sylvan

Rikki Sylvan, also known as Rikki Sylvian, (born Nicholas Condron) was an English singer, musician and record producer during the new wave era, beginning with his punk band Rikki And The Last Days Of Earth.
After participating in the Beckenham Arts Lab and working as tape operator at the CBS Studios in London, Rikki Sylvan, who already owned a Moog synthesizer, formed, along guitarist Valac Van Der Veene, the band Rikki And The Last Days On Earth which, in November 1976, later being added bassist Andy Prince, keyboardist Nick Weiss and drummer Hugh Inge Innes Lillingstone.. Rikki Sylvan (born Nick Condron), a tape operator at the CBS Studios in London, and a graduate of the same Beckenham Arts Lab scene that spawned the pre-fame David Bowie. Armed with an early Moog synthesizer, Sylvan formed Rikki and the Last Days of Earth with guitarist Valac Van Der Veene in November 1976 and, over the next couple of months, music press adverts introduced bassist Andy Prince and keyboard player Nick Weiss. A drummer named Nigel played with them for a while, until May 1977 brought the impressively-named Hugh Inge Innes Lillingstone into the group. Later, the band turned Rikki And The Last Days Of Earth. Sylvan produced many of the songs of the band and , also, of their labelmates Satans Rats.
After his band broke out, he worked as record producer and engineer for Tubeway Army and his frontman Gary Numan, making parts of the Replicas and The Pleasure Principle albums, in 1979.
Later, he was a solo artist, releasing his album The Silent Hours, with his former Last Days Of Earth bandmate, Andy Prince, as guest.
Shortly after his brief solo career, he formed a studio band called 3AM, along ex Neo's Steve Wilkin on guitar and Derek Quinton on drums. The band recorded 3 albums and split up shortly afterwards.
Rikki Sylvan died following the end of his musical career.
