Richard Towson

Richard Bernard Towson (born 21 March 1977) is Lawrence Springborg's representative for the seat of Broadwater in the 2009 Queensland Election.
Career
Towson started working life in the food, beverage and hospitality industry on the Gold Coast before switching around 10 years ago to the automotive industry. He has experience in most areas within the automotive industry, including servicing, sales, marketing and insurance.
Towson is currently providing consulting services to a range of businesses in Queensland and NSW in the Automotive Industry, mostly in the areas of recruitment, selection, training and business development activities.
Being the son of a nurse, Towson also has an ‘insiders view’ of the failing queensland health system. Not only are the current waiting lists longer but the lack of critical care and out patient services are at an all time low.

Personal
Richard is a Gold Coaster of 30 years, having grown up in the northern area of the Gold Coast, including Paradise Point and Hope Island.
Like many other locals, the Broadwater is his family’s playground for fishing, swimming and skiing. Richard and his ex-partner are currently bringing up their 2 year old daughter Poppy.
Richard is a keen fan of rugby union, cricket fan and most other sports as well as having been an active member of the Northcliffe SLSC.
