Richard James Merritt (born September 10, 1986) is a scuba diver who is known for his YouTube web series "Into the Water with James". James started making waves online when he found a megalodon tooth and human remains, which helped close an unsolved police case. The show went viral on the internet after he found a valuable wedding ring while he was cleaning trash from the Suwannee River in Florida when a local news article highlighted his efforts to find the owner. In 2018, James also starred in a short film about himself, called "Into The Water" directed by Lachlan Ryan. |
