Richard Gage

Richard Gage is a Northern California architect and the founder of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, a group that challenges the official theory of the collapse of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7, on September 11th, 2001, and suggests that the destruction is consistent with the controlled demolition hypothesis. In under 2 years, Gage's group has grown to dozens of architecture and engineering professionals who have joined and signed a petition questioning the official reports about the destruction of the World Trade Center and calling for a new investigation.

Richard Gage, a practicing architect for 20 years and member of the American Institute of Architects, became interested in the collapse of the World Trade Center after hearing David Ray Griffin on the radio in 2006, and reading Jim Hoffman and Don Paul's book, Waking up from our Nightmare: The 9/11 Crimes in New York City. Gage founded Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth to enlist the involvement of other architects and engineers to advocate a new investigation of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Gage has been featured in documentaries by the BBC and other media on the subject of the demolition hypothesis, and has delivered dozens of lectures and interviews, both within and outside the US, to live and radio audiences, including talks at local American Institute of Architects offices. Gage has also been the keynote speaker at numerous September 11th anniversary events, such as the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance two-day conference commemorating the 6th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks

On December 18th, 2007, Gage presented to the NIST/NCST Teleconference Advisory Committee Meeting on behalf of . Gage also helped organize a dissenting response to the NIST report, including public telephone conference with a panel of six specialists immediately following the release of the NIST report. These six went on to become a part of a group of 18 scientists, scholars, architects, and engineers who submitted a formal public response to NIST. Immediately after the NIST issued its draft Final Report on WTC 7, the New York Times quoted Gage as saying, “How much longer do we have to endure the coverup of how Building 7 was destroyed?”

In his public submissions to the National Institute for Standards and Technology/National Construction Safety Team investigation of the collapse, Gage, among other points, states that:
*Chemical analysis of the remains of WTC 7 shows evidence of thermate, an incendiary compound used to cut steel.
*The manner in which the building collapsed showed "every sign of controlled, explosive demolition."
*Fire is an insufficient explanation for the collapse of the WTC 7.

Arizona State Sen. Karen Johnson wrote to presidential candidate John McCain urging him to hear briefings from proponents of a new 9/11 investigation, including Gage, who would present his views on evidence for controlled demolition gathered from the ruins of Ground Zero.

Gage and his Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth team developed a multimedia DVD presentation, 9/11: Blueprint for Truth (2007), recently updated for 2008, and Gage was interviewed by Randall Mark on The Standard, from Vancouver, Canada on April 22, 2008.
