Reza Kerachian is an Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering, University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran (www.eng.ut.ac.ir). Dr. Kerachian received his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Tehran Polytechnic (Amirkabir University of Technology), Tehran, Iran in 2004 after receiving his M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, and B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran. His research and teaching interests include Surface and Groundwater Quality Management and application conflict resolution techniques in water and environmental resources management. He has published more than 150 technical papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Kerachian is a leading person in extending game theoretic approaches and applying them to real-world water and environmental issues. He has received the Khawrazmi Prize for doing the best research project (2004), the Iranian Ministry of Education Prize for the best Ph.D. dissertation (2005) and selected as the author of the best journal paper in the field of water engineering in the first and second National Water Festival (2007 and 2009).
