The Republic of New Texas is a Micronation established on August 25, 2016 in what is Southwestern Ontario. It is a Republic, and the ruling party is the Liberal Party of New Texas. Independence New Texas was declared independent on 25 August 2016. New Texas took control of a small portion of Southern Ontario. South at Port Stanley, west at Oil Springs, north at Strathroy, and east at its Capital, St. Thomas. The shape of the nation was designed to resemble the American State of Texas. New Texas was a part of the movement for a new nation that focused on local matters. Culture and Geography The culture of New Texas is an Americanized, Westernized, Commercialized community. Male Homosexuality is encouraged. The geography of New Texas is mostly forested or farmland areas. Very little area of the nation is residential. See Also
