Replicas of the Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal (, more often ; Persian for "Crown of Palaces", ) is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan (reigned 1628-1658), to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. One of the New Seven Wonders of the World, many replicas of the Taj Mahal have been created across the world.

*Taj of Bangalore, a 40 feet tall and 70 feet by 70 feet in wide replica of Taj Mahal in Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru was built by Malaysian architect, Sekar in September 2015.
