History
REP Interactive had its humble beginnings in 2009 as a homework assignment by Steve Gatena at the University of Southern California. Steve’s master’s thesis at USC involved him creating a video series called World’s Most Expensive Homes with a Coldwell Banker agent as a host. The video went on to garner over 1.5 million views on YouTube and later became a highly successful campaign for Coldwell Banker.
This campaign was the catalyst for REP Interactive going into business. Steve Gatena founded the company with his mother, current CEO Judy Gatena. Together, the mother and son co-founders were named on Forbes Magazine’s list of famous multi-generational entrepreneurs.
Mission
REP Interactive was born from the idea that online video could be created with the same quality and production value that is seen in Hollywood productions. REP Interactive’s videos aim to apply strategic business messaging to marketing and communication initiatives in an effort to strengthen brands and grow businesses.
Awards
REP Interactive has won more than 100 awards for their video productions, including Telly Awards, W3 Awards, Stevie Awards, Davey Awards, and Communicator Awards. REP Interactive has been listed as one of the fastest-growing companies in the world by Inc. 5000. Co-founders Steve and Judy Gatena were named on Forbes Magazine’s list of famous multi-generational entrepreneurs. In 2013, REP Interactive was nominated for Best New Agency by Mashable. In 2014, REP Interactive was recognized for its work at the United Nations in a competition sponsored by Dell and Intel.
