Remy Raisner (born 1981) is an entrepreneur and businessman known for pioneering urban renewal investments in the neighborhoods of Bedford Stuyvesant, Bushwick, and Prospect Lefferts Gardens of Brooklyn, New York. Life and education Raisner was born in Paris, France. He attended Lycée Claude-Bernard. After completing his schooling, Raisner pursued his Bachelor’s from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He also holds an MBA from Columbia Business School with Dean’s List honors and is a CFA charter holder. Career In the aftermath of the Financial Crisis, Raisner created The "Raisner Group" to invest in real estate in the depressed Brooklyn market of the era, with a vision to contribute to reshaping the local urban landscape positively. He also created a venture capital subsidiary of his company, "Raisner Tech Ventures", to invest in seed rounds of Real Estate Tech startups. Raisner is a Foreign Trade Advisor to the Government of France, appointed by decree of the Prime Minister. He is a founding member of the Transatlantic Forum of the French-American Foundation. Raisner is frequent Economics, Business & Politics contributor to publications and think tanks, including The Huffington Post, Forbes, French Daily Le Monde, French weekly L’Express, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The World Economic Forum, The Berggruen Institute, and The Observer. In addition, has been a Forbes Council member for more than two years. Basketball career Prior to his business career, Raisner was a professional basketball player in France for Saint Quentin Basketball. He became a professional basketball player at seventeen and played for France. He also played Division 1 basketball for Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, USA. Recognition Raisner was named "Rising Star in Real Estate" at Crain’s New York Business in 2020 and 2021, respectively. He was also named a "Multifamily Influencer" by GlobeSt.com in 2020.
