Religious bias on Wikipedia

On , certain editors on the online encyclopedia have been accused of religious bias towards or against certain religions or religious viewpoints. This can manifest in a number of ways, including the deletion or alteration of content related to a particular religion, the inclusion of inaccurate or biased information about religion, or the use of a non-neutral point of view when editing articles about religious or vice-versa subjects. Some editors on have been accused of using their position to promote their own religious beliefs, or to denigrate or marginalize the beliefs of others.
Specific instances
* In January 2009, a case involving Scientology was brought before 's Arbitration Committee. administrators presented evidence during the case that Church of Scientology-controlled computers were used to promote the organization, using multiple user accounts. One user, going by the pseudonym "COFS", admitted this pattern of editing and stated the edits from Scientology computers would continue. In May 2009, the Arbitration Committee decided to restrict editing from IP addresses belonging to the Church of Scientology to prevent biased edits.
