Regulatory Council for Spiritual Healers

The Healer Practitioner Regulatory Council (HPRC) was established in June 2002 and is Sponsored by the Complementary Healing Association.
The Healer Practitioner Regulatory Council (HPRC) is a Professional Council holding a Single Register of Spiritual Healers within the UK.
This Register of UK Healers is the first Spiritual Healing Specific Register available
Its Primary Role is to Protect the Public and also to maintain the Integrity of the Profession. It sets minimum standards for Professional Training & Practice. It also handles Disciplinary Matters and Complaints.

It will Comprise of a Chairperson and a Spiritual Healing Accreditation and Assessment Committee.
The Council agree with the Government that Self-Regulation works best when it operates as an open and transparent partnership between the Healer Practitioner and the Wider Public. We believe this approach will be in the best interests of these stakeholders, as well as potentially enhancing the status of individual Healer Practitioners.
The (HPRC) will continue to work in setting Standards of Training for the Profession.
Regulation and Registration of Complementary Therapists in the UK is voluntary self-regulation. We believe it is important to have a Single Register of Spiritual Healers who meets the (HPRC) standards for their training. So that whenever you see a Spiritual Healer you can then feel confident that the person treating you meets the Councils standards. You also need to know that someone will take action if things go wrong. That is where Regulation is important.
