Ancient Indian education system popularly known as the Gurukul System forms the inspiration for RCMetrics. Guru or Acharya or the Teacher was veteran in Yoga Abhyas and Vedas. Shishya or Pupil or Student used to stay with their Guru to acquire knowledge. They would return home only after completing the process of acquiring knowledge or Vidya. It was after certification from the Guru to the Shishya about achieving expertise.
Most impressive part in this knowledge acquiring process is the Yoga Sadhana of the Guru which bestowed him the wisdom to identify the natural skill in his Shishya. Obviously each Shishya possessed different natural skill.
Once done the Guru would train all the Shishya for fundamentals of life and the values. He would also train each Shishya to develop his Unique Natural Skill as his expertise. To illustrate this, Dronacharya who was the Guru of Pandavas taught different skills to each Pandav based on their natural skill.
The medieval period faded the Ancient Education System making the Wisdom of the Gurus (to identify the natural skill of their Shsihya) a Mystery.
Taking clues from this a study of Yoga entails about Mudras which are fingertip gestures typically made to activate different areas of the brain lobes. Mudras are also used as a healing technique as well as for inherent development. There is detailed research done and compiled about both Yoga System and Mudras. References are also seen in Vedas, Manusmruti and BruguSamhita.
Refurbishing natural personality traits is also possible using different Mudras. The body-mind coordination and correlation and its monitoring and regulation with the fingertips is the basic science of Mudras. This also suggests that the fingertips do reflect ones natural ability. The knowledge about this can help to develop and channelize the natural ability in most optimal manner.
Today in the technology driven world, interpreting this study with the help of technology is certainly the need of hour. Ridge counting and its analysis is an age old technique commonly used in Forensic Science. The interpretations are mainly used for theory of born criminology. Ridge counting is already proven technique, so the same is used to build algorithms interpreting several personality aspects on the principles of Yoga and Mudras. This analysis is presented in comprehensive manner with easy to understand graphics and is thoughtfully named as “SelffieS”
