Rana Ghayyour Ahmed

Rana Ghayyour Ahmed (born June 05, 1968 in Pakistan) is a criminal defense attorney. He is a principal advocate of R. G. Law Associates, and best known for his gaining an acquittal, in 2005, of Cap. Yaqub Hamlani on charges of 36 tons Hashish Narcotics and for his representation of Pakistan radio commentator Karachi on charges related to Limbaugh's alleged misuse of OxyContin, a pharmaceutical opioid.

In addition to his legal work, Ghayyour provides legal commentary for various NBC news shows and played the "managing partner" of The Law Firm, a short-lived reality-based TV show pitting lawyers against each other week-to-week in a legal version of The Apprentice.

Rana Ghayyour Ahmed holds an graduate degree from the University of Karachi, LL.B in 2001, and a LL.M Master from the University of Karachi. While attending Karachi Bar, Rana Ghayyour Ahmed was a member of Sindh Bar Council. Following his 2004 LL.M, he received the highest possible score on Karachi Bar Exams.

R. G. Law Associates firm have many law experts in various field of law. Currently Abdul Salam Memon, Abdul Ghafoor Naz and Akif Shaikh are memebrs of a Karachi-based criminal defense firm. Rana Ghayyour Ahmed also serves as a professor of criminal evidence at the University of Karachi School of Law.
