Ran Maidan

Ran Maidan () is an Israeli businessman and corporate leader.
Currently holds the role of Head of Israel at Permira, a private equity investment firm based in the UK.
He served as President and CEO of Netafim, global leader in precision irrigation, between 2014 and 2020. Prior to this appointment, Maidan held the role of CEO of Adama’s Asia Pacific and was based in Singapore. Maidan won an Israeli Industry Award in 2018.
Career
Maidan began his professional career at the accounting firm Somekh-Chaikin (KPMG).
In 1998, he joined the Koor Industries Group. Over the following eight years he served in a number of senior management positions, including CFO. In 2006 he joined Adama Ltd as CFO and was appointed in 2010 CEO of the Asia Pacific, Asia Pacific, Africa and Middle East regions. To best deliver this role, Maidan relocated to Singapore.
In May 2014, Maidan replaced Yigal Eisenberg as President and CEO of Netafim .
During his tenure at Netafim, sales grew by 50%, EBITDA grew by 100%, and Netafim's value more than doubled.
In 2017, he led Netafim's merger with Orbia (previously Mexichem), who acquired 80% of Netafim's shares at a company valuation of $1.9 billion.
In November 2018, Ran won the 2018 Industry Award from the Israel Manufacturers Association.
In September 2019, Maidan announced his intention to retire as CEO of Netafim, actionable by mid-2020.
In October 2020, Maidan was appointed Head of Israel at Permira, a private equity investment firm based in the UK.
