Rajkumar Kanagasingam is a Sri Lankan author and writer; he authored the book German Memories in Asia and wrote the screenplay for the upcoming feature film Prince of Malacca. He wrote articles on business, economic and other topics in Sri Lankan newspapers. He received “Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition” from US Congresswoman Karen Bass and honored by the Los Angeles based NGO "We Care for Humanity" by awarding “Humanitarian Writer of the Year” at the 3rd Global Official of Dignity Awards which was held in New York.<ref name="R9"/> Biography Works German Memories in Asia Kanagasingam wrote the book based on his memories and discussions with university students from Germany, visiting Asia as interns. His book touched on historical events in Asia and Europe of especially the German interests since the Roman Empire era such as Franco-Prussian War and the Otto von Bismarck's diplomacy, Austria & the divided German states, German-Brazilians today, the Pennsylvania's Amish County & the Mennonite communities, the German colonies in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Volga Germans in Russia under Bolshevist atrocities and the First and Second World War issues of Kaiser William II and his diplomatic chaos, Firebombing on Dresden, Danube Swabians and their expulsion, the U.S. President Gen. Dwight D Eisenhower in the crisis of starving German POWs. It also touched on Germans in Latin America, North America, East European countries, Australia and elsewhere in the world and their migrations, life styles, encounters and assimilation since ancient times.<ref name="Prnews"/> He also wrote about his experiences during war in Jaffna and German facilitated tsunami relief missions in North Sri Lanka.<ref name="n2"/> Prince of Malacca Kanagasingam wrote the screenplay for the upcoming feature film based on a reborn love story of a prince from the Kingdom of Malacca and a princess from Singapura in the 15th century which re-emerges after many centuries in the present era.
