Radio Northern Star

Radio Northern Star is an International Commercial Radio station owned and operated by Northern Star Media Services AS operating on the World Wide Web at www.northernstar.no as well as Apple and Andriod apps and TuneIn.
History
The project was started in 1994 and took its present name in 1999. The radio station runs "Favorites, Flips and Flops, Rarities, too" as its main music format. Special music categories like Scandinavian, Country, Gospel and Inspirational Music are also featured. European and American Radio Ministries use the station under the banner of Northern Lights-The Voice of the Free Gospel.
The current weekly audience by early 2014 is in the region of 30000++ started streams. In 2012 and 2013 the station has been test broadcasting on the AM frequencies of Medium Wave 1314 and Short Wave 5895 kHz from sites in Sweden and Norway and has plans for regular broadcasts from terrestrial sites. The station is especially targeting adults 50 years and older.
