Queer Wookie

Queer Wookie (American punk-rock band, 1996-2002) were a controversial, eccentric quartet which most famously placed in SPIN Magazine's Worst Band in America contest in 1996.
The band consisted of four primary members, at least two of whom were always in the band despite its frequent changes and replacements. The lead singer/founder- A. Krash Chiggenhed; the guitarist/co-founder, DeeJay PhistPhuck; Mooseter Gooseter; and Evil Joe. At various times Evil Joe and Mooseter Gooseter either left or were fired from the band (in Evil Joe's place it would be permanent) and were replaced by short-stinted musicians who usually left after a brief attempt at joining the others.
The group is known for an arrest in 1996 in which A. Krash and DeeJay attempted to assault Kurt Loder, Michael Stipe, and Billy Corgan at the MTV Music Awards show (it was cut from the live broadcast just before A. Krash publicly urinated on Loder's feet as he interviewed Stipe).
Having had little success with the release of any of their albums (they would demand limited releases for the first 2 albums, thinking it would allow a build-up of the mystique around the band), the band broke up finally in 2002, though reports have periodically resurfaced about their supposed reunion.
