Queen Mania

Queen Mania was a saying mentioned by Music Journilists and the public during Queen's career. It was first mentioned in 1975, during the Sheer Heart Attack Tour when Queen played in Japan and were greeted by fans at the airport and treated with a lot of respect. However later that year the term was used more often when Queen released Bohemian Rhapsody which went to no.1 in the UK for nine weeks, selling 5 million copies. After that Queen toured in Many parts of the World with massive hits and stadium anthems such as We Will Rock You and We are the Champions. Queen played to 325,000 people during a concert in Rio in 1985. Queen left a legacy with the best selling album in the UK, the act that has spent the most time on the UK Album charts and have sold 400 million albums worlwide resulting in them being the second best selling rock band of all time.
