Qazim Ademi (1876-1939) was an Albanian folk singer and composer of Albanian polyphonic music. Ademi was born in 1876 in Matogjin, southern Albania and died there in 1939.<ref name="tole"/> Qazim Ademi's songs are considered successors of the demirçe genre of Albanian polyphonic music named after Demir Ago Mystehaku-Vlonjati (c. 1780-1845), another composer from Matogjin.<ref name"tole"/> Ademi's unique interpretations led to the creation of a new genre of Albanian polyphonic lament and elegy songs, the qazimademirçe named after him.<ref name"tole"/> This genre has been adopted by later well-known singers like Saliko Dalan Salaj and Avdul Ymeri. According to musicologist Bardhosh Gaçe sixty of the songs composed by Ademi are popular even today.<ref name="tole"/>
