Pulickaparampil is a large family deeply rooted at the place Edathua, Alappuzha District, Kerala, India. It is traditionally a Christian family with almost all of its members affiliated to Syro Malabar Christian Church in Kerala. As of 14 Feb 2009, the eldest alive member in the family is Rev. Fr. Mathew P George, who is serving as a parish priest at the place Edathua itself. The eldest traceable member of the family is Mr. P M varkey, who was born in 1916. He served as a teacher in Mathematics at the parish school. He was one of the most popular and well accepted teachers of the time. He got married to Mrs. Tresiamma Varkey in 1940, when he was 24 years. They were blessed with 11 sons/daughters, out of which the eldest one is Rev. Fr. Mathew Pulickaparampil George.
