Publicity backdrop

A publicity backdrop is any photographic background specially constructed to present one or more logos of any organizational entity associated with an event. These backdrops usually serve as product placements or general branding opportunities for the associated organizations. Backdrops are frequently used at events such as press conferences, red carpet events (usually reserved for celebrities) and photo ops.
Press conferences or speaking events
Backdrops at press conferences usually involve speakers in front sitting down or, if necessary, speaking to the audience of journalists and photographers.
Red carpet events
Red carpet events, on the other hand, usually provide publicity backdrops at specific sections of red carpet in order to either pose for photographers or answer questions from journalists. Those who pose or take questions at red carpet events tend to stay standing up until moving on to the inside of the eventual entertainment venue.
Regulation
When featured on television these backdrops may be covered by regulations on TV advertising and product placement.
