Pteridophobia

Pteridophobia is the irrational, morbid and sometimes obsessive fear of ferns. Some of the people who have pteridophobia are only afraid of bracken, or fiddlehead ferns. People who have this phobia feel scared whenever ferns are close enough for them to see, or if they know a fern is near. This is a very uncommon phobia, and only a few select people have this fear globally. Patients can feel paralyzed when ferns are near. Children who have pteridophobia usually need to be carried when ferns are near them on the ground.Sigmund Freud, an Austrian neurologist, may have had the condition pteridophobia, but other sources suggest the contrast.
