Ps3 bopbd

What is Bopbed?
"Bopbed" means a (burned out PlayStation Blu-ray drive), also known as “FBRD” (faulty Blu-ray drive). It is more common than most PlayStation 3 users realize. It affects both ps3 slim models and ps3 fat models. It can be recognized by its malfunction to be unable play Blu-ray discs or any disc and can also be recognized in most cases by a strange ticking or clicking noise coming specifically from the Blu-ray drive component when a disc is inserted. Though B.O.P.B.D. is not a huge concern, because everything else works properly except the Blu-ray disc drive.
What causes this
Bopbd is the cause of overheating in the PlayStation 3 system. The ps3 slim can get overheated quite easily in the wrong conditions. If the system were used for long periods of time with its back vents only 4 inches or less from the wall, the Blu-ray drive could break down, as early as 2 months. Using the ps3 on Carpet can overheat the system and cause hardware problems. These uninformed mistakes made by ps3 users is as to why these specific hardware dilemmas are such a wide spread nuisance. Most new buyers are unaware of the ps3 slim overheating because of its reputation for being more energy efficient by using less power than the ps3 fat models. Though ps3 slims use less power, its still accessible to overheating because it still produces large quantities of heat in a smaller more compact design.
