Project Zee is a company of technically insightful and creative individuals formed for the purpose of designing, creating and distributing personalized digital media.
Project Zee was created by Michael Kraus of Tampa, Florida. He began recruiting fellow cast and crew members as early as January 2007. An objective in mind of everyone on set was to complete as many useful projects as possible, rather than throw away time by completing useless "tests". Thus, many small videos were produced as the team practiced at effectively working amongst each other. Those titles include: A Coming of Age, Signing Off, The Wait and The Hitcher. In October of 2007, the team organized to shoot their first feature length project, Among the Dead. After the release of Among the Dead in 2008, Project Zee became more focused on smaller projects and simple blog entries. Preparation of another project to be released in 2009 is expected.
Productions
Among the Dead, premiered September 5, 2008 at the University of South Florida, was Project Zee's first major production. Among the Dead is an unconventional zombie film, featuring a zombie who must explore his decaying world as well as his own inner-psyche in order to fully understand the events that preceded his awakening. Since its premiere the film has competed in several film festivals. An official release date has not been announced at this time. Aside from Among the Dead Project Zee has completed several short productions. Project Zee's next major product, entitled Scene 5, is slated to begin production in upcoming months. In addition to Scene 5, Project Zee plans to release a short film biweekly.
