Progress FM http://www.progressfm.co.uk, a new media project in Nottingham, already streaming on the web,and will commence general FM broadcasts on July 21st 2008, serving the major metropolitan area of Nottingham. Operating using an http://www.ofcom.org.uk/static/radiolicensing/rsls/current_list.htm Restricted Service License (RSL), the station will broadcast on the run up and in support of Nottingham Pride 2008, covering issues of direct interest, and messages of general sensible living. Whilst having an undeniable leaning towards LGBT issues, Progress FM will combine a proven mix of general music, entertainment, information and resourses, alongside getting in among its audience and being accessible. The project is operated by a Nottingham based Paula, who has nearly thirty years experience in radio broadcasting, and operates from enviable facilities to the north of the city. The latest digital technology has been installed, not just for playing music, but in order to deliver the programmes to the listener at the highest quality, with the greatest reliability. This is however combined with two important forms of analogue device, traditional radio techniques, and people!
