Privatelektro is a independent record label, founded in the year 2000 in Leipzig, Germany. Founding members are Marek Brandt (Stage Name: triPhaze) and Christian Wruck. Since 2005 Marek Brandt runs this Label (mostly) allone. The label focuses on experimental electronic music, specializing in Electronica, Soundscapes, ambient, Drones and minimal music. In 2004 privatelektro established an Netlabel department for digital audio (mp3) releases. Many electronic musicians of the late 1990s and early 2000s have contributed to the label's catalog, but the release politics are very careful. Some of the label artists also working with live visuals, vjing and producing independent music videos and Sonic - Installations at the border to contemporary art and Soundart. Privatelektro founded a Headphone Festival in Leipzig 2003. Since then the non commercial Festival are happend almost yearly. The music played on these Festivals are transmitted through airwaves and streamed on Internet on special frequences and could be only listend via Headphones.
