Precore

Precore is an American rock band formerly based out of Sullivan, Indiana, a community near Terre Haute, Indiana.
2009 saw the band tour much of the midwest and east coast in support of their album "Sick" which was recorded by Steve Albini at Electrical Audio Studio in Chicago, Illinois. Steve is known for his work with bands like Nirvana, Bush, Chevelle, Iggy Pop, and Page and Plant of Led Zeppelin.
In May 2009, the band signed a developmental recording contract with DBM Records of San Diego, California. The band currently holds endorsement deals with Audix Microphones, Silverfox Drumsticks, Saluda Cymbals, Evans Drumheads, Dunlop guitar products and Dirt Bag Clothing as well as a special sponsorship from Woodburn Graphics and Design.
In March of 2009, the band toured Smart Studios (owned by Butch Vig of Garbage) in Madison, Wisconsin to discuss possibly recording their third album. Butch is well known for his work with Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, and The Foo Fighters.
October 2009 saw the band relocating to the Indianapolis, Indiana metro area to enter a larger music market. Recording of their third album, which is largely written but as of yet untitled, is slated to begin in the late fall or winter of 2010. The band has confirmed that Steve Albini has agreed to produce the third album with Michael Fossenkemper (known for his work with Nine Inch Nails and Rob Zombie) mixing and mastering the effort.
In January of 2010, Dirt Bag Music was acquired by the Warner Music Group/ILG, which means that as of now the band is signed on with the world's largest and arguably most successful music industry label.
