Praveen kumar Gorakavi (born on 24, May, 1989 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India) is a young chap who is interested to work in science. He had designed many models which serves various industrial jobs. He is the lad who have created 40,000 years calendar extending for a wide span of 20,000B.C. to 20,000A.D. which got national recognition in India. His attempt reached many well rooted scientific organizations that fetched him national and international awards. He has extended his observations upto propellant technology and launched few pencil sized rockets. He then worked on development of artificial limb (above knee) with a moving knee and ankle joint, all operated mechanically which further got commended by APVCC, a government aided organization for social welfare. He is also credited for his effort put on developing VASCAMODE a food preservative, biofuel production, colour coding technology and robotics. ---- Education Praveen was born in late 80's. He was born and bought up in hyderabad. He made his early schooling upto 7th class at St.Augustine High School, New-nallakunta. He continued his school from 7th to 10th class at Dilsukhnagar Public School, Dilsukhnagar. Praveen carried his Intermediate at Narayana Junior college, Dilsukhnagar and currently he is persuing his engineering in Chemical discipline at University College Of Technology, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. Publications *Presented paper on "AMMUNITION TECHNOLOGY" at AIIE2005 *Presented paper on "NON BACTERIAL WAY OF BIOFUEL SYNTHESIS" at AIChE regional midwest conference. *Paper on biofuel production in AIChE annual meeting, 2008. *Paper on biofuel feedstock selection and process design at SCHEMCON2008. Works In science & Technology during his Schooling Praveen had worked and had formulated the following innovations * CALENDAR OF 40,000 YEARS THAT ALSO INCLUDES BC YEARS. ITS NOT A PROGRAM NOR DONE ON SOME ELECRTRONIC EQIPMENT. It is also written in braille script to make it available to the blind people. *Ammunition technology which was even certified by DRDO, Govt. of india for its experimental success.This uses animal wax as propellant. Though it was done by paraffin wax by nasa scientists in 1999, this was carried on by changing the oxidiser so that the yield is maximum with minimum cost . Wax is safe to transport, reusable and ecofriendly. As a hydrocarbon It best replaces dimethyl hydrazine. Its cost creates flexibilit to lots of research projects even in a low funded organizations. *An artificial leg that has knee and ankle joint bending non electrically. This is remarked for its function at zero gravity . This can make a physically challenged man to run at 20Kmph speed.It is made of Duralumin an alloy and weighs about 1.5-1.8 Kgs.This costs around 160IRS for manufacturing. * Developed a formula that can locate hypocentre after a techtonic incident. *Designed a callipers that can mesure upto 0.005mm. *Boat formula to calculate the distance of a mateor from where it is accelerated. This is most useful for space research. *A new observation was made that polygon except triangle and circle can execute circles touching all sides in it equal to the number of sides /4 and the remainder would be percentage of circle out of polygon. * Designed seeker with a single mortor which yielded clues to increase the range of radar by increaing angle from 15 to 90 degrees. * A machine that can preserve food by increasing its shelf life by 2 times. This best suits to replace village based low quality preservatives in india.Its certified by APCOST, govt of AP. Recognitions *Presented a paper on Biofuel production at AIChE regional midwest meeting at Chicago in september 2008. *Visited Intel ISEF as a guest *Visited Singapore science centre to give a lecture on his works. *Got an invitation from Chicago school *Praveen was invited for international young scientist seminar at malaysia (IEYI 2005) * Got collaborated with various institute of states for further research. * Participated in NASA SINP. * Invited for AIA Team rocketry contest * Attended SAHA institute of nuclear physics, a seminar on high energy physics. * prize for presentation at AIIE2005 at hyderabad. * Participated and demonstrated My artificial leg at ACCESS 2003 at Hyderabad. * Represented my state AP at all india Children science congress * Participated in youg scientists meet at delhi conducted by DST, Govt of india and CII. * Participated in Intel DSTF at hyderabad. * President of india award BALSHREE after 3 round screening in India. It would be given only for five a year where i am the 3rd ranker there. * Received child scientist title from govt of India. * Receeved around 60+ awards from various scientific and social organizations of India.
