Pratik Shinde

Pratik Shinde ( born 15 January 1996 in Mumbai), is an Indian footballer who currently plays as a Midfielder for American NPSL club Houston Hurricanes FC in the U.S.A.
Shinde started playing football when he was 13 years old. He used to play with his friends in Gandhi Maidan, Chembur. He started his career with local club YMCA Chembur, when his coach told him that he has a better future ahead in this field. Since then, he has played with Clubs like Kenkre FC, AFA, Steadfast Fc, Jupiter SC, In 2010 Pratik was offered to play with Spanish side Alcobendas FC in Madrid but the visa was rejected.
Early life
Pratik Prakash Shinde was born in Chembur Mumbai. Son of Prakash Shinde and Asha Shinde.
He inherited his name from his father, who was a Singer. Growing up, Pratik combined his passion of football with street football.
Career
YMCA Chembur
From 2008-2009 Pratik played for YMCA Chembur, the Mumbai based club. It is only known that he had played nineteen games and scored five goals.
Bipin Football Memorial
Bipin Football Memorial is a biggest youth championship in Mumbai He represented Churchgate team in Bipin Football Academy Tournament held in Mumbai, representing Churchgate for three consecutive years 2008, 2009 and 2010. He Scored 5 goals for Churchagte team. The team won the championship for all the three years. for three consecutive years 2008, 2009 and 2010. He Scored 5 goals for Churchagte team. The team won the championship for all the three years.
Kenkre U-15
He was scouted by Kenkre F.C. In 2009 and played with Kenkre F.C. U-15 side. In Kenkre Football Fiesta he was awarded the best player of the year award among 250+ players. This was his first solo award he received.
Andheri Football Academy
He was offered to play with Andheri Football Academy. The season was great for Pratik, as he says that he developed skills while serving AFA and represented India in Gothia Cup. Pratik was awarded the player of the year trophy.
Steadfast FC
Pratik played MDFA Division 2 with Steadfast FC from 2010. He only played a half season with the club. He then toured Chandigarh for the 8th Edition Cup.
Galveston Pirate SC
The day when his dream come true. At the age of 15 Pratik created history in Indian Football, he was the first youngest Indian footballer to play aborad . Galveston Pirate SC coach Brendan Keyes saw his goal and his power to play the game against Germany in Gothia Cup 2010 and there he decided that Pratik have lots of potential and he is an asset to Indian Football.Galveston Pirate SC signed Pratik on a year contract in 2010. Pratik Scored on his Debut, On the 69th minute pirates achieved that goal much to the delight of everyone watching as young Shinde received the ball from Jose Reyna on the edge of the box before turning his defender and placed a shot with the inside of his boot into the bottom right hand corner. He played 10 matches and scored 3 goals for Galveston Pirate SC.Pratik was facing visa problem, but Mr. Brandon Keyes helped him and he landed in Texas, USA to play with a foreign club.
Houston Hurricanes FC
In January 2013 the NPSL side Houston Hurricanes FC signed Pratik Shinde for 1 year contract. The season will start in May 2013.
International
After being offered 1 year contract by the Andheri Football Academy, Pratik represented Indian in the Gothia Cup 2010. He was under Maloy Sengupta. He played 8 matches and scored 4 goals. He scored 2 goals against BK Häcken a stronger club from Sweden.
He then scored 1 goal against a Germany U-15 team and this was the time when his life was going to be changed. He then scored against Husie IF. India didn't win the cup and were relegated in Semifinals after losing against Germany U-15 2-1. Only 1 goal was scored by the Indian team and that was Pratik who scored the goal.
