Powerplus Group, officially Powerplus Group Inc., USA (commonly referred to as Powerplus) is a global manufacturer of a range of heavy equipment, trucks, plants and spare parts. Headquartered at Pomona, California, the brand sells in approximately 100 countries and territories on six continents, and has a main Asian office headquartered in Singapore. History In 1973, the founder of the group, Datuk Derrick Ong, began trading used equipment and spare parts under the entity known as Worldwide Techno-Builders Group (1973), now known as Worldwide Techno-Equipment Group (1973). In 2003, Powerplus was incorporated in the United States. Manufacturing was subsequently moved to China. In its early days, Powerplus sold to customers of its parent company, Worldwide Techno Equipment Group, which was mostly based in the Middle East. |
