Potential nfl expansion

The National Football League (NFL) underwent several rounds of expansion and organizational changes during its history to reach its current 32 teams. The league's most recent relocation was in 2017, when the San Diego Chargers relocated to become the Los Angeles Chargers, under Dean Spanos's decision. Raiders will not begin their move to Las Vegas until the 2019 season, thus their cross-California rivals are the last team to officially relocate

City already has a profitable NBA team, the Portland Trail Blazers in its vicinity. The residents are rich. 23rd fastest growing city in America, which means more fans will move there . Its climate is moderate, so a scorching September temperature or a blizzard in January are unlikely. Football is a popular tradition with the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers amassing many supporters in-state. City has 3,642 restaurants for football followers to eat at . Top 5 bike city in America, so biker fans may like to go there. Cons of such a move exist. Seattle and its own Seahawks team are very popular in Oregon, thus hurting the market chances for a Portland team. The fans may not want to fork the bill for a stadium according to an Oregon Live website article . Geographically, the town's isolated in the Pacific corner of the nation, which could make traveling from cities not in its division a hard sell. A funder/ owner would be hard to get- Paul Allen, the owner of Trailblazers, already owns the Seahawks. Due to it being illegal to own 2 NFL teams, Allen will likely not own a Portland NFL team. Stadium issue is a concern, as the largest stadium in the city is Vanport, which has bad traffic .
Anchorage
Many residents in Anchorage want a team. Anchorage doesn't yet have an NFL team. Pros of an expansion or relocation to the Alaskan city exist. It is the biggest city in the state by population as of the most recent census. Climate is easily advantageous to a home team since it gets colder than most of continental America in December and January. Madden NFL had Anchorage as a relocation option in past issues 9. Alaska doesn't have a pro sports team, so this could be the chance to break through. Cold weather helps defenses as opponents get more turnovers to the D, but less yards and points . However, cons also exist. The state is the 147th largest media market, smaller than markets like Green Bay and Buffalo . Climate is sometimes disadvantageous as a blizzard can affect games and free agents and other players may elect not to play in such a cold place. Such a football team would be the first in the state as neither of Alaska's colleges have football programs. Thus, Anchorage has both pros and cons associated with an NFL team.
Honolulu
Honolulu is often dreamed as an NFL new location for many reasons. Pros are several. Climate is warm and similar to Miami as it's above 50 degrees even during the playoffs.
