Porrorcore

Porrorcore is a subgenre of the hip hop subgenre horrorcore. Porrorcore music is based off of horror-themed lyrics and added elements inspired by poverty. The genre was first coined in 2012 by members of the record label Dirt Poor Entertainment , who are the only artists currently pushing the violent and unfortunate subgenre. Although poororcore often resembles horrorcore music in its styles and themes, it is not derived exclusively from the genre, and often borrows from various other Hip-Hop genres as well.
Characteristics
Porrorcore is a branch off of underground hip hop, with topics often influenced by and related to murder, cannibalism, and poverty. Porrorcore often contains violent subject matter, but the creators of the genre, Dirt Poor Entertainment, claim that the music can also have a positive message.
Popularity
While porrorcore is currently considered an "unremarkable music genre" there is a small but constantly growing dedicated fan base.
